“Jan Baric is a self-taught woodworker and artist from Celje, Slovenia. From an early age, he fostered a fascination for drawing and design, studying architecture at university in Ljubljana. He learned how to use woodworking tools from his grandfather and furthered his knowledge watching online video tutorials by renowned woodworkers, as well as experimenting and creating in his workshop. Today he designs and handcrafts innovative furniture pieces, from coffee tables to chairs, as well as wooden boxes, bottle opens and coat hangers. Geometric shapes, everyday objects and nature inspire the aesthetics of his contemporary pieces.”
